About Us

Incorporated in 2006 in the United States of America, Patronus Laboratories Corp. was formed to unify the varied professional assets of seven companies represented by the four founding partners. • Reliability - Patronus Labs is relentless in our testing methodology to ensure day-in, day-out operation of all of our solutions. Patronus Labs clients are typically organizations for whom surveillance or security failures are not an option.
  • Ease of maintenance - Patronus Labs understands that the ability to easily maintain a system is often as important as the solution itself. All solutions are designed with a modular functionality, most hardware failures within a Patronus System can be rectified within minutes by relatively untrained maintenance personnel.

Patronus security solutions routinely include:

  • Off-grid alternative energy powered security apparatus.
  • Analog, Digital and Mega-Pixel closed circuit television (CCTV) surveillance.
  • Video Analytics applied to one, several or all cameras in a solution.

The depth of expertise of Patronus Labs and unique capability and willingness to integrate with virtually any manufacturer’s product ensures that the design, manufacturer and build of these systems are handled in-house, allowing the integrator and customer to rely on one provider, ensuring interoperability without delay or excuse. It is this ability to provide the entire integrated package which is responsible for our unmatched reputation for reliability and ease of operation.  All of these technologies can be seamlessly married into a software package which is intuitive, comprehensive, scalable, and continually customized to meet the current and ever changing needs of the client.

From inception, the mission of Patronus Labs has been to design, develop, manufacture and market the most advanced and cost effective security products in the world in support of global mission critical applications. Patronus Labs facilitates this mission utilizing two primary approaches; an in-house product line marketed through an exclusive dealer network and custom product and solution development for OEM clients.

Specializing in servicing the World's elite security professionals, Patronus Labs is an invaluable asset to many of the most successful security providers.

Patronus Labs is a unique company. In an ever complicated security environment, even the largest and most knowledgeable integrators occasionally require assistance. Patronus Labs provides that shoulder to lean on, to any size company. Whether sourcing a simple component to meet a specification, extensive collaboration to integrate diverse technologies into a cohesive platform or providing installation or project management support, Patronus Labs is here to assist.  Patronus Labs specializes in solution design, engineering, production, configuration, implementation, training and life cycle management.

For a Client of Patronus Laboratories - NO JOB IS TOO BIG. Our Dealers approach every bid knowing that they have the support they need to accomplish any project. PLC Dealers don't walk-away from opportunity because their company doesn't have the required experience in every aspect of the project. As a dealer, Patronus Labs is in their corner providing the knowledge, confidence and assets needed to engage at the highest level.

All great solutions must start with a properly executed Survey followed by a Design to meet or exceed the client’s operational requirements and budget.

While ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) schedules and pricing can be established after some minimal details are provided to afford a general design framework and a broad level of pricing visibility, a well-founded Project Scope, Project Timeline and Project Cost will flow naturally from a properly executed Survey and Design process.

The Survey and Design process includes, but is not limited to:

  • Consultation with the client including On-site Surveys of all project locations.
    • Determine the system goals and the role Patronus Laboratories Corp. is to play in the overall project, i.e.:
      • RFQ Response and bid
      • Architecture and Engineering
      • Manufacturing
      • Installation
      • Commissioning
      • Operation
      • Training
      • Life Cycle Management

The Survey and Design stage will result in a comprehensive Report which will stipulate in detail all of the parameters necessary for the client to evaluate the viability of the project and all of the specifications the client will require to publish a RFQ (Request for Quote) to qualified companies.  This report will also outline the qualifications and capabilities a supplier must possess in order to efficiently complete the provision, installation, commission, training and life cycle management of the solution.

The cost to perform an effective Survey and Design varies on the size and complexity of the project.  Individual clients will be provided quotes to complete the Survey and Design Phase.

Based on the Survey and Design Report, Patronus Laboratories Corp. will provide a solution proposal and bid which encompasses all of the requirements defined within the Survey and Design Report and any additional requirements defined by the client within the context of the published RFQ.

We encourage our clients to publish RFQs to qualified providers to validate the quality and competitiveness of any tender submitted by Patronus Laboratories Corporation.

Once selected as the solution provider, Patronus Laboratories will complete the Architecture and Engineering of all aspects of the solution.  The completed solution will be approved by the client, with changes made as requested.

After all Architectural and Engineering documents are ratified, manufacturing will begin.  Patronus Labs solutions are typically designed with modularity in mind. Consistent and modular solutions lead to simplified manufacturing processes, lower costs, quicker installations, quicker training, easier maintenance and repair and optimized life-cycle management.

As requested by the client, Patronus Laboratories Corp. will support a local integration company, or assemble and manage a new integration company in the region.  Staffing of any new company will primarily be made up of indigenous peoples.  Patronus Laboratories Corp. will deliver qualified individuals familiar with the unique requirements of the project to provide the specialized training necessary to the local workforce.

Patronus Laboratories Corp. is committed to employing the local population, whenever possible, on every project in which we engage. In the long run, this approach is the most reliable, resilient and cost effective methodology. It is also a core principle behind our international business philosophy and an obligation to which Patronus Laboratories Corp. is faithful.

Patronus Laboratories Corp. will build customized training courses for each project according to the wishes of the client.  Training courses can cover:

  • Installation
  • Maintenance
  • Operations
  • Life cycle Management

Life cycle Management, as a service, monitors and manages the EOL (End of Life) status of all products in a solution. As various components in a solution enter their pre-EOL and EOL status, they must be replaced with components which will maintain the operational functionality of the System. In many cases, a direct replacement may be available; however, at other times the System may need to be modified to continue operation as intended in the initial design. It is not uncommon for the replacement part to be superior in function to the original, and integration of the new component will enhance the capability of the solution.  Over time, with proper Life Cycle Management, the solution will not only continue to operate through generations of products, but will improve in its capability.

As many projects with which Patronus Labs is involved are substantial in size, scope and cost, Patronus Labs has developed public and private resources which facilitate the funding of many types of projects; from small projects of a few hundred million to larger projects which scale into the billions of dollars US. Additionally, sovereign guarantee funding is also available to some government projects.

A separate document is available which details the available financing opportunities.

In some cases, at the request of the lender or the borrower, depending on many factors, Patronus Labs will provide financial project oversight to the Lenders and/or Financiers.

Patronus Laboratories Corp. manages its own projects and will manage projects for any client wishing to contract our services. As a company we embrace seven basic principles to bring about efficient project management.

  • Project Structure - Our project managers think in 3 dimensions:

Every challenge which arises within the context of a project is due to an uncertainty or issue regarding quality, resources or time. These three factors represent the typical dimensions of any project. During the course of addressing these concerns Patronus Laboratories Corp. management is continually questioning the impact the resulting decisions will have on the quality, resources and timeline of the project.

  • Architecture and Engineering Phase - 80% to 90% of most project costs are defined in the architecture and engineering phase. It is imperative to be thorough and accurate during this phase as it will define nearly all of the costs of the project. PLC management strives to avoid the tendency, often exacerbated by pressure levied by the client, to execute semi-defined work schedules. Research has shown this to be the most common mistake made by inexperienced or short sited managers. Years of research has revealed an unmistakable correlation between the thoroughness of the definition phase of a project and its success. Research also shows that the longer the architecture and engineering phase lasts the shorter is its processing time. Additionally, the quality of the project performance increases dramatically when project managers emphasize the architecture and engineering phase.
  • Clear Goals – As project manager, Patronus Laboratories Corp. is responsible to ensure that the aspirations and goals of the client and lenders are attainable and understood by the project labor resources. This coalition of management and production is the Project Team. Patronus Laboratories Corp. distilled this broad concept into a simple acronym: SMART (specific, measurable, ambitious, realistic, and time-bound).
  • Transparency of the Project Status – Through the use of flow charts, structure maps and milestone tables, Patronus Laboratories Corp. not only ensures that our projects stay on course, it also ensures that the client and lenders are not only kept abreast of the current schedule, but that they fully comprehend the status of the project as a whole. It is this level of understanding and transparency which sets Patronus Laboratories Corp. services apart, and it is why our oversight is so valued.
  • Risk Recognition – Every project will be confronted with a distinctive set of risks. This is normal. Every project is a unique endeavor with exacting goals concerning costs and performance. Patronus Laboratories Corp. is expert at identifying those inimitable characteristics very early on and ameliorating the risks to avoid negative impacts on the overall venture
  • Mitigating of Project Challenges – No plan is perfect, and no company can foresee every eventuality; however, subsequent to a thorough and detailed architecture and engineering phase, Patronus Laboratories Corp. will identify the vast majority of risks and challenges and develop specific strategies to avoid or diminish them. Patronus Laboratories Corp. is exceptional in our diligence, but no company has unhindered visibility into future events. Having said that, Patronus Laboratories Corp. will employ tried and true techniques which will enhance our ability to detect and react promptly to adverse or unpredictable events. In our experience every project encounters hurdles; it is inevitable and unavoidable. But, it is the efficiency, preparedness and experience of the Project Manager which will determine whether those obstacles become mere bumps in the road or impenetrable brick walls. Unanticipated challenges are the status quo in project management, and Patronus Laboratories Corp. is qualified and prepared to meet those challenges.
  • Responsibility of the Project Manager – As Project Manager Patronus Laboratories Corp. will endure the full weight of responsibility to oversee the project from inception to successful completion.

Major construction projects are complex undertakings, often involving dozens of
subcontractors and suppliers, thousands of workers, and millions or billions of dollars in material, equipment, and services. • Commitment - We are proactive in finding solutions for our clients that best achieve their goals. Lasting relationships are the lifeblood of our business. We want the client to feel that our staff is even more committed to the effort than their own staff…that’s what distinguishes us.
  • Standards, Policies and Guidelines - Patronus strives to continually improve and identify risk while creating and enforcing the programs to reduce that risk whether through best practices, new guidelines, or policies. This approach has resulted in a successful track record of bridging the company’s safety standards, with the reality of on-site project operations further supporting and driving the message to all levels of field and project staff.
